Hi, my name is Mary Covillo. My counseling journey began 25 years ago and has taken many paths, but one thing has remained, God’s faithfulness. I’ve witnessed beautiful renewal in those who trust Jesus to transform their hearts and minds. My education, life experience, and Christ-centered Biblical approach offer a unique path toward emotional, spiritual, and physical healing. God created us for thriving, relational lives, and my heart is to build a trusting counseling relationship where the Holy Spirit renews you from the inside out. In Christ, healing begins
Life has a way of stealing away our joy. Whether from huge overwhelming circumstances that take us by surprise, or just many small trials that chip away at the fabric of “who we used to be”. You do not have to live “numb” or simply just “go through the motions”. The life that God intended for us to live was one of joyful abundance. This doesn’t mean we would always be “faking” happiness, but that we would have a lasting joy within our heart that cannot so easily be stolen from us, even in difficult circumstances. It is possible to find that joy again and live a life with purpose and passion. Let’s partner with God to bring about this change in your life.

Q: How is Christ-centered Biblical counseling different from typical clinical counseling?
A: Clinical counseling can be very helpful, but Biblical counseling focuses on heart-level transformation through Scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit. Instead of only addressing behaviors, we look to Jesus—the “Wonderful Counselor”—to bring lasting change from the inside out.
Q: Do I need to be a Christian to benefit from Biblical counseling?
A: No. Anyone is welcome. While Scripture guides the counseling process, you don’t need to share the same beliefs to receive support, encouragement, and practical tools for healing.
Q: What can I expect in a session?
A: A safe, confidential and compassionate space where we pray together, talk through your challenges, explore Scripture, and work on practical steps for growth and healing.
